Where to eat in Bali

Introduction

The food they offer in Bali is wide and varied, as much in flavours as in prices. Really, it can enjoy very well and very cheap in Bali, but If we will eat to luxury hotels the prices they will be similar such in Spain. We can say, to try appropriately the places that for 80.000 Rupiah (less than US$ 8), it can enjoy very well. A second plate, it can be for some 25.000 rupiah (US$ 2.5). There are places, for the Balinese, much cheaper. There are also super deluxe hotels where a meal can come for US$ 50 or US$ 60.

The schedule of opening is usually from 10 a.m. to 11. p.m., but in very tourist areas there are restaurants that open up until later. In Bali he/she eats up "when one is hungry" there is not being some customs so strict as in other country. Usually the foreigners (German, Englishmen) they spouse to eat "on time" (already know, eating at 13h o'clock and have dinner at 19.30h o'clock.)

In Bali we have two local beers: Bintang and Bali Hai, the first one more extended. It's cost some 10.000 rupiah (US$ 1 for 7.50cc) in normal restaurants. The sodas cost some 6.000 rupiah (US$ 0.60).

Of course that they are present the popular chains "Hard Rock", Kentucky Fried, McDonald, Pizza Hut...! The prices, mainly in Hard Rock Kuta, seem abusive.

The Indonesian food is represented by a good number of restaurants. But in some of food noticed that have been adapted to the foreigners taste. The material of the Balinese cuisine is the rice, always present in all the plates. The local fish are very good, as well as the vegetables, salads, etc. In Bali many spices are cultivated in natural for the cuisine. But it is necessary to say that the food not so strong or spicy.

A warning: in the restaurants local they are usually quite slow services. Some patience doesn't come bad.
